Custom work can be the difference between a gorgeous space — and a dream space. When a designer can often custom, you’re no longer limited by what the space allows, or what you can find off the shelf.
Everyone’s had a client whose house is stunning — except for a narrow eating nook. A living room that tapers to a tricky angle. A bedroom with an alcove that would be the perfect place for a window seat…but is two inches too small for anything off the shelf.
That’s why we’re our collaborators’ secret weapon. With our custom services, they aren’t limited to what they can find, and what they can fit. Whatever they envision we can build. It’s a powerful difference.

With this exquisite dressing room for Melissa Pinto Interiors, you’ll see multiple pieces fully customized to respond to the environment Melissa created. Our team of skilled workers — from painters to upholsterers — built the cushions and reupholstered the chairs on site in our Connecticut workroom. Working in close collaboration with Melissa, we designed the dressing table, from gorgeous white oak.

Now teaming up with interior designer Katie White, we devised a way to transform this corner into a standout moment with a seating unit that does double duty as a functional piece of sculpture, all channeled through Kate’s trademark organic minimalism.

Here, a custom, two-part sectional for Katie acts as a pair of bookends to the incredible ocean view seen between them. These were similarly designed to interact with the setting in a way that off-the-shelf pieces can’t.
These are the questions that power our most rewarding collabs:
-
What do you need — but can’t quite fit?
-
What custom piece could transform your proposal?
-
What could you do if you knew you could build anything you wanted?
When anything is possible, everything changes. What idea can we help make real?
